Rugby is one of the most physically demanding sports in the world.
High-speed collisions, repeated tackles and intense training place enormous stress on the body.
Injury is not just common — it’s expected.
Most rugby players do not fail because of the injury itself.
They fail because of how they return.
Poor early management. Weak rehabilitation. Rushed return-to-play decisions. A lack of position-specific injury prevention.
Rugby Injury Prevention & Return to Play is a practical, real-world guide, combining experience with the scientific evidence base, aimed at keeping rugby players on the pitch, reducing injury risk and returning stronger.
Based on over 25 years of experience in elite, international and grassroots rugby, this book focuses on what actually helps rugby players — not just theory.
This book is built around real-world application, giving you tools you can use immediately in training, rehab and match preparation.
Whether you are a player, coach or clinician, this is a clear, practical framework to help you stay available, reduce rugby injury risk and return to performance.
Stay on the pitch. Train smarter. Recover properly.
